Psalm 36 – Fountain of Life
5. Your unfailing love, O Lord, is as vast as the heavens;
Your faithfulness reaches beyond the clouds.
6. Your righteousness is like the mighty mountains,
Your justice like the ocean depths.
You care for people and animals alike, O Lord.
7. How precious is Your unfailing love, O God!
[I find] shelter in the shadow of Your wings.
8. You feed [me] from the abundance of Your own house,
letting [me] drink from Your river of delights.
9. For You are the fountain of life,
the light by which [I] see.
10. Pour out Your unfailing love on those who love You.

I love this Psalm. Or better yet, I love my amazing Father, my Papa. Because this Psalm is a tribute to His love.
Sometimes when I'm still and out in nature I can almost hear the wind whisper 'I love you'.
You know, we THINK we know how good this God of ours is, how loving and kind, but I believe we only know a fraction of what He's really like.
Many things stood out to me in this Psalm, but the verse 'You care for people and animals alike, O Lord' (Ps 36:6 NLT) gets to me every time.
I'm a huge nature and animal lover. I think if we took the time to every once in a while let nature move and wonder us, we would get a better idea of God's goodness.
After all He entrusted us with His creation. It says in Rom 8:19 'all creation is waiting eagerly for that future day when God will reveal who his children really are.'
You know, this might sound a bit silly, but around the time I became a believer I was given a cat. His name is Moppie ;) He became my best buddy, and he teaches me so much about God. I see God's kindness in him, His generosity, His joy while He was creating him. The lack of pride, the unconditional love, the loyalty, the trust, the list goes on..
Paul says in Rom. 1:20 that we could know God by looking at creation.
We are responsible for His creation, people and animals alike. Let's take good care of each other and in doing so honour this amazing God of ours!
