Psalm 143 – The Sound Of Your Loving Voice
8. If You wake me each morning
with the sound of Your loving voice,
I’ll go to sleep each night trusting in You.
Point out the road I must travel;
I’m all ears, all eyes before You.
10. Teach me how to live to please You,
because You’re my God.
Lead me by Your blessed Spirit
into cleared and level pastureland.
11. God—give me life!
5. I remembered the old days,
went over all You’ve done,
pondered the ways You’ve worked,
6. Stretched out my hands to You,
as thirsty for You as a desert thirsty for rain.
The Message (MSG)
This particular Psalm, it's a heavy Psalm, but it contains a super powerful prayer!
And that's the part I fell in love with.
The chorus of this Psalm is like singing a prayer; it starts with:
(Psalms 143:8-10 MSG)
If you wake me each morning with the sound of your loving voice, I’ll go to sleep each night trusting in you.
And then the chorus:
Point out the road I must travel; I’m all ears, all eyes before you (..) Teach me how to live to please you, because you’re my God. Lead me by your blessed Spirit into cleared and level pastureland (..) God - give me life!
It's hard to explain, I'm trying to find the right words.. but these words of David, it's like they have a hold on my heart. They coincide with the cry of my heart. It's as if my spirit, wrapped in His Spirit, cry out these words of life.
I believe, it's the heart's cry of my Father, my Daddy, for my life, for our lives.
And I for one will not rest, until I'm completely living in the fullness of the life He envisioned for me.
And singing this prayer is a good place to start. Spirit lead me! 🙌🔥
