Psalm 121 – He Guards You Always
1. I look up to the mountains—
does my strength come from there?
2. My strength comes from God,
who made heaven and earth!

3. He won’t let you stumble,
your God won’t fall asleep.
4. Not on your life! Israel’s
Guardian will never doze or sleep.
5. God’s your Guardian,
right at your side.
6. The sun will not harm you,
nor the moon at night.
7. The Lord keeps you from all harm
and watches over your life.
8. He guards you when you leave
and when you return,
He guards you now, He guards you always.

Where do you draw your strength from?
Do you treat God like a backup plan? Does His word have a backseat or is it the actual driver to which you entrust your entire life?
Is it, when all else fails, then I'll believe His promises..
Are you overshadowed, intimidated by your mountains? Do you feel small, weak, inadequate?
If you treat the Word, His words, just like inspirational quotes, like the thousands of well meant quotes you see on the internet today, then it will be just that: an inspired quote.
But then you're missing out.
This Psalm says, your God doesn't sleep, your God keeps you from all harm, watches over your life, is your protective shade (remember Psalm 91 'Those who live in the shelter of the Most High').
The God who made heaven and earth, made you, He guards you always, both now and forever.
So, do you want to stand in His shadow or in the shadow of your mountain?
