John 12 - Children of the Light
35. My light will shine for you just a little longer.
Walk in the light while you can,
so the darkness will not overtake you.
Those who walk in the darkness
cannot see where they're going.
Don't let the darkness overtake you.
Walk in the light while there is still time.
36. Put your trust in the light while there is still time;
then you will become children of the light.

There are many lights in this world. But there's only one Light of the world. Just like there's only one Truth, one Way. The Way.
Before I surrendered my life to God, my Daddy, I believed in 'the universe'. And some people called me child of the light, because they saw a light in me.
Which was kind of ironic, since I was struggling with severe depression, was addicted, suicidal, and pretty lost. So whatever light this was, it wasn't doing me any favours.
I think a lot of people confuse light with kindness, skills, inspiration. All commendable traits in itself.
But it's not the same as being a child of THE Light.
That means you're a child of the source of all Light. It means your father IS Light. There's no darkness in Him. It means, you carry the same DNA as your Father.
After all, you're not the nephew of Light, or the strange uncle of Light.
So, if you carry His DNA, then it means you have all His wonderful traits already in you.
That's why 2 Cor 5: 17 says (when born again) you're a new creation! The old man or woman is buried, you now carry His DNA!
Now, that doesn't mean you're done. It's just the starting point. To actually start looking like your Father, you have to walk the walk. Talk is cheap. You gotta do what Jesus did.
Only then we'll be showing the people of this world what it really means to be a child of THE Light. 🔥
