Joel 2 & Acts 2 - I Will Pour Out my Spirit
Acts 2
17. 'In the last days,’ God says,
‘I will pour out my Spirit upon all people.
Your sons and daughters will prophesy.
Your young men see visions,
and your old men will dream dreams.
18. In those days I will pour out my Spirit
— men and women alike - and they will prophesy.
19. And I'll cause wonders in the heavens above
and signs on the earth below—
20. The sun will turn black,
and the moon will turn blood red
before that great and glorious day of the Lord arrives.
21. But everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.’
Joel 2
12. Turn to me now, while there is time.
Give me your hearts.
23. Once more the autumn rains will come,
as well as the rains of spring.
25. I will give you back what you've lost

Joel 2:25 [you've] orig [you]
Last week, with the release of John 14, I told you guys about the Spirit prompting me to set a series of Scriptures to music—End Times Scriptures, to be precise.
Though God is never in a hurry, I felt a sense of urgency, especially with this particular Scripture: Joel 2, quoted by Peter in Acts 2.
Initially, I had planned another Scripture for this day, but it soon became clear that Joel 2 was to be released on that day. That left me with very little time to prepare and produce this song. But from experience, I know that if God wants something to happen, it is going to happen. 😉 He will also give the tools and grace to make it happen.
I love this particular Scripture, and I have a thousand things to say about it. But I'm not going to.
Because what happened while I was creating this song says it all, in my mind.
You know how I've told you guys about Jesus giving me the motto for this Project of Love: "Together we will show the heart of the Father to the world".
In actuality, that means that a lot of times while creating the songs, I experience the heart of the Father. It's the Holy Spirit working through the words, working through me.
And I know from the testimonies that we receive from you that you feel and experience it too.
Well, when I was recording my vocals for this song, everything went great. I felt the fire of the Spirit urge me. But when I would come to the part around 2:36 minutes to 3:21, my heart would break, and I would weep—so much so that I could not continue. I felt the heart of the Father. I felt His pain, His sorrow, His love for this world, the people, the animals, all creation. When I say I felt it, I mean in part. Because when I would actually feel what He feels, I couldn't bear it. A broken heart doesn't begin to describe His pain.
I finally managed to sing these words, but you can still hear the sobs in my voice.
It's a Father who's on the lookout every single day for His son, His daughter, scanning the horizon for His beloved.
God Himself says it best in Joel 2:12: "Turn to me now, while there is time. Give me your hearts."
And it's even more true now. And it's even more true now. Permit me this analogy: His heart is not complete until you've given yours, until the two are reunited once again.
