Isaiah 62 - A New Name
2. You will be given a new name
by the Lord’s own mouth.
3. The Lord will hold you in his hand for all to see—
a splendid crown in the hand of God.

Smooth out the road; pull out the boulders;
raise a flag for all the nations to see.

I'm no theologian, nor do I aspire to be one. I'm a worshipper. When it comes to the Word of God, I want to be like a kid in a candy store, for as long as possible.
Too much candy at once can give you a bellyache, but one piece of good candy a day can have you chewing on it for hours.
Relishing the flavors that roll over your tongue..
It doesn't make me an expert on candy, but I do know how to appreciate it :)
It's the same with the Word of God to me.
In this Isa 62, what stands out to me, is the goodness of God, His generosity.
He's a giver by nature. Since I gave my (broken) life to Him, He gave me in return: a new name, a crown, a robe of righteousness, a new life, the Spirit of Jesus, God's own Spirit. And if that wasn't enough, He says: all that is mine, is yours! (Luke 15:31)
But it doesn't end there, He looks after me, cares for me, loves me beyond all understanding. The road to my salvation, the road to God is wide, clear and open. It's like a highway! All boulders (obstacles) have been removed.
No one will need to stumble (that comes in handy when you're running with your eyes fixed on Jesus 😉)
I'm sure I'm missing lots of other meanings in this chapter, but like I said, I'm a worshipper, no theologian. I can't help but praise Him 😉🔥🙌
