Isaiah 50 - Morning By Morning

4. Morning by morning he wakens me
and opens my understanding to his will.

6. I offered my back to those who beat me
and my cheeks to those who pulled out my beard.
I did not hide my face
from mockery and spitting.

7. The Sovereign Lord helps me,
I will not be disgraced.
Therefore, I have set my face like a stone,
determined to do his will.

10. If you are walking in darkness,
without a ray of light,
trust in the Lord
and rely on your God.

You know, too often I let my phone wake me.. the alarm yanks me out of my cosy slumber..

Already phone in hand, the temptation to first check my email, Instagram, Facebook, or whatever else is on there is great.. oftentimes too great.

But I want THIS.. I wanna wake up with Him on my mind, every morning, I want my understanding ready and open to His will.

I want HIS loving voice to wake me. (Psalm 143:8)

I want my day to start like that. Every day. How 'bout you?
