Habakkuk 2
1. I’ll climb to the lookout tower and scan the horizon.
I’ll wait to see what God says,
4. The person in right standing before God
through loyal and steady believing
is fully alive, really alive.
3. If it seems slow in coming, wait.
It’s on its way. It will come right on time.

2. God, I’ve heard what our ancestors say about you,
and I’m stopped in my tracks, down on my knees.
Do among us what you did among them.
Work among us as you worked among them.

Revival!
How many of us would go looking for revival in smouldering heaps, in the ashes, in the rubble..in the middle of things that don't make sense?
Meet Habakkuk. He's genuine, honest and raw.
In Chapter 1 he voiced his bewilderment, his disappointment. But he didn't stay there.
In chapter 2 he climbs up his look-out tower, scans the horizon, waiting for God's answer.
And God answered. Judgement is coming.
Then Habakkuk reminds himself, reminds God, of who He really is. He remembers. And as he remembers, his joy comes rushing back!
This is the God his ancestors spoke of. His awesome deeds. A God of miracles. The great I AM, not was! The God of the living, who still moves in power.
And Habakkuk starts singing, laughing, crying, trembling and shaking and singing again.
And He cries out: do among us, as you did among them! Work among us, as you worked among them!
Cause he knows, God didn't change, He is still that miracle-working God. The great I AM. The God of the living! Mercy is His specialty.

Stand on your smouldering heaps, take the ashes in your hand and cry out for revival: "Do among us, as you did among them. Work among us, as you worked among them!" 🔥🙌
