The Word of God cannot be chained' (2 Tim 2: 8-9).

I love it, it's that simple! :)

There's something about the verse 'the Word of God cannot be chained' that makes me deliriously happy! Nothing can bind the Word of God. Absolutely nothing.

You know, we're almost addicted to bad news in these times. Bad news sells. You really have to go looking to find some good news.

Everything God ever spoke lasts forever. The universe He spoke into being is still expending. The Word that is Jesus lasts forever. And nothing can bind it, nothing can bind Him.

He conquered death, and so did we. He conquered sickness, and so did we. He conquered sin, and so did we. He restored the relationship between us and God. He laid down His life and became the bridge between us and God. Nothing in the way anymore.

That really is good news!

That makes us the good news people, do you realize that?

So, follow my logic: if we believe God is the same yesterday, today and tomorrow. If we believe that God's word lasts forever. If we believe we have the same resurrection power that raised Jesus from the dead (Rom 8:11) Then the words Jesus spoke in Matthew 10:7-8 ‭'Go and announce to them that the Kingdom of Heaven is near. Heal the sick, raise the dead, cure those with leprosy, and cast out demons.'

Should be every bit as true now, as it was then.

So, wouldn't it make perfect sense for us to be the truly good news people in a world filled with bad news, by actually BEING good news?

That's how we show that we're in this world but not OF this world. Think about it..😉
