Psalm 27 – Fearless

1. With [You] on my side I’m fearless,
afraid of no one and nothing.

3. When besieged,
I’m calm as a baby.
When all hell breaks loose,
I’m collected and cool.

4. I’m asking God for one thing,
only one thing:
To live with Him in His house
my whole life long.
I’ll contemplate his beauty;
I’ll study at his feet.

6. God holds me head and shoulders
above all who try to pull me down.
I’m headed for his place to offer anthems
that will raise the roof!
Already I’m singing God-songs;
I’m making music to God.

4. I’m asking God for one thing,
only one thing:
To live with [You] in [Your] house
my whole life long.
I’ll contemplate his beauty;
I’ll study at his feet.

11. Point me down Your highway, God;
direct me along a well-lighted street;
show my enemies whose side you’re on.

12. Don’t throw me to the dogs.

13. I’m sure now I’ll see God’s goodness

14. Stay with God!
Take heart. Don’t quit.

I’ll say it again:
Stay with God.

5. That’s the only quiet, secure place
in a noisy world,
The perfect getaway.

The Message Translation (MSG).

What happened? The short version is I experienced a total shutdown when I entered the plane. Like somebody pushed my power button and I shut down. I felt really bad in just a few seconds. I just knew one thing, I needed to get out of there.

Thanks to my wife Djen, who emerged like a true lioness, we made it to the medical post where I was declared 'not fit to fly'.

I felt ashamed and afraid.

We came home and I started to reflect on things. Meanwhile Papa showered us in scripture that hinted in 2 directions: rest in Me and nothing can seperate you from My love (Rom 8: 35-39).

Then it dawned on me: I've been blessed with two anointings (that I know of).

Writing scripture to music is one and preaching the other. Tho the latter is not as visible yet as the first one.

And it makes sense. These 2 things give me great joy and cost me little effort. Cause the Spirit is so clearly present in these things and He does most of the heavy lifting.

But, at least 70% of my work consists of things revolving around Project of Love. Answering emails, social media, doing interviews and a lot more stuff.

And that's where it becomes tricky.

God never told me to do all of these things.

He just asked me to write scripture to music.

Shortly after this I became seriously ill: Corona. As I write this the fever is still running through my body.

We started this series with my favorite Psalm 23: 'the Lord is my Shepherd, I have all that I need. He lets me rest in green meadows'.

Rest. Prioritize.

Back to the last Psalm of this series, Psalm 27, Fearless. Fitting end, right? ;)

BUT, you don't become fearless overnight. How many times did David cry out to God in total fear? It's a journey, we're all on our way. To deepen our relationship with the One, the source of all Love. Until fear is no longer a factor.

We hope (and know) these songs have been a blessing to you.

November 24 we're back with a new series with a lot of NT songs 🔥🙌

Please, continue to pray for us and support us.

This is a blessed and powerful work, but there's another side who absolutely hates what we're doing and is looking to destroy it.
