Psalm 1 - Always in Blossom

1. How well God must like you—

2. You thrill to God’s Word,
you chew on Scripture day and night.

3. You’re a tree replanted in Eden,
bearing fresh fruit every month,
Never dropping a leaf,
always in blossom.

The Message (MSG)

For this Psalm 1 I've used the beautiful Message translation. This is what it says:

How well God must like you - (..)  you thrill to God’s Word, you chew on Scripture day and night. You’re a tree replanted in Eden, bearing fresh fruit every month, Never dropping a leaf, always in blossom.

We recently released Colossians 1, it speaks about 'my life will produce every kind of good fruit'. Even in the Old Testament you can read how God always intended us to be and live: bearing fresh fruit, never dropping a leaf, always in blossom.

If you look at nature, that seems impossible, even unnatural. And it is.
But not us. We're citizens of Heaven. Ambassadors of the Kingdom. Here on earth. We are meant to blossom, to bear fresh fruit, every day.

We are supposed to be the living proof of God's goodness. And that's only possible if we partner up with God's Spirit. If we chew on Scripture, meditate on God's words.

Then we'll be like a tree, replanted in Eden. Never dropping a leaf. Always in blossom 🌱
