Isaiah 7 - Immanuel

14. The Lord himself will give you the sign.
Look! The virgin will conceive a child!

She will give birth to a son
and will call Him Immanuel

God is with us

New Living Translation (NLT)

This is one of those scriptures that has been on my wishlist to set to music for a while now. But, as most of you know by now, I don't just put any scripture to song; only those that the Spirit highlights for me. Those scriptures come alive to me, and it's like God Himself starts singing them.

The same goes for Isaiah 7, the verses about Immanuel. This summer, I started reading Isaiah again, and when I read these verses, He turned the light on! It landed deep in my heart. And so, I was determined to make this an ode to Jesus.

When I create songs specifically meant for Jesus, I always tell Him not to cheat and not to listen in before I've finished it. 😅

Anyway, you all know what Immanuel means, right? It means "God (is) with us."

Now, I could talk about that till I'm blue in the face, but instead, I want to share one of the many testimonies we receive on a daily basis from people who tell us what happened when they listened to or watched our songs. They all prove that God is indeed with us.

We receive testimonies of healing, deliverance, and miraculous encounters with God. But this week, we received such a beautiful and 'simple' testimony from one of our listeners, it just filled my heart with joy and gratitude. God is indeed with us.

I leave you with her testimony:

"I accepted salvation from and by Jesus today at church. I got in my truck to drive home, and my phone played this song (Colossians 1: Learn to Know You) through the truck speakers... but absolutely no apps were open on my phone, there was no way to control it, and there was no way to tell what it was. I just listened to it, and every word spoke to me perfectly. Then I typed in each line I could remember from the lyrics into a Google search to try and find the song... nothing came up, but Bible Hub brought up Colossians 1:10.

I read the verses of Scripture around that, and all the context further spoke to me - past, present, and future. Then I searched for the Colossians 1:10 song on YouTube, and here it is!! Thank you for your important blessed work! This day will always be special! This song will always be special! And it's awesome to already have a way to write this special Scripture in my heart through memorizing it in song. Thank You, Jesus!!!💛"

You see? Immanuel: God is with us! 🙌❤️😉
