New Living Translation (NLT)

When God told my wife and I, separately, that we would start the first week of October with the release of the first Isaiah, I don't mind telling you, I was hesitant and a bit scared. Ok, maybe a lot scared .. ;)

Up until then I had been writing and recording these Bible verses in solitude. Just me, God, and the Bible. The start of every day, the end of every day. And I loved it. I've never felt more close to my Father than in those days.

I wasn't keen on going public with this.

What would people say, how would they respond to these songs? It felt like I was gonna share my most intimate moments with God, with the world.

And I gotta say, these last fews weeks have not been a picnic. I've gotten my share of hate mail. I've been called a liar, a demon worshipper, was told I use the wrong translation, and how dare I say I had heard God speak. Comments made by my own family, Christians.

And when you work so hard to make a new release happen every week and get these kind of comments, I won't lie to ya, it's tough.

And there's where these verses of Isaiah 41 kick in.

"For I have chosen you. Don’t be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be discouraged, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you. I will hold you up with my victorious right hand".

Wow. This is God encouraging us. You. Me.

So let's be inspired by that! And don't just keep it to yourself. Blessings are meant to be shared! Send this to someone who needs it.

And instead of finding fault with each other, let's encourage each other and let God do the talking for us 😉
