Isaiah 25 - A Wonderful Feast
1. O Lord, I will honor and praise Your name,
for You are my God.
6. In Jerusalem, the Lord of Heaven’s Armies
will spread a wonderful feast
|for all the people of the world.
7. There He will remove the cloud of gloom,
the shadow of death that hangs over the earth.
9. In that day the people will proclaim,
This is our God!
This is the Lord, in whom we trusted.
This is our God!
4. You are a tower of refuge to the poor and needy, O Lord.
10. The Lord’s hand of blessing will rest on Jerusalem.
The Lord’s hand of blessing will rest on [you].
The Lord’s hand of blessing will rest on [me].

"There, He will remove the cloud of gloom, the shadow of death, that hangs over the earth".
As somebody who has lived with depression for over 20 years, this verse means a lot to me. Followed by "You are a tower of refuge, to the poor and needy, O Lord".
You see, 3 years ago He removed the cloud of gloom, the shadow of death that hung over my head.
Ever since that day, I find refuge in His word, every day. Sure, there are still days I wake up weary or anxious, but I'm always transformed after reading the Bible. Therefore, it's not an option for me whether or not to read the Bible every day, it's become a necessity! I simply need it.
His Word changes me. From the inside out.
And I'd like to urge you to make time to read in His word. Not for Him, He already knows what it says ;) but for you. These are actual living words. There's power in them. We are the (spiritual) sons and daughters of Abraham. These words are also meant for us! There's tremendous power in them. Imagine what'll happen if you sing them out loud. You're proclaiming them over your life!
Don't read the Bible just as a history book, but as an active, living, breathing chain of Love letters from the source of Love Himself to us!
